FED: Dodson says preamble should be dumped
Former reconciliation council chairman PAT DODSON says the proposed preamble to the
Constitution should be dumped from the November referendum.
He says the compromise wording agreed between Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD and the Australian
Democrats is a farce.
Mr DODSON says a reference to Aborigines' deep kinship with the land does nothing to
improve their position.
He says Aboriginal people don't just have kinship with the land, they own it.
