Fed: Vic man swept from boat after storm off Mediterranean isle
CANBERRA, Jan 17 AAP - A 33-year-old man from rural Victoria was swept from his boat
as he tried to board another yacht during a storm off the island of Corsica, Australian
authorities confirmed today.
International reports say after 33 hours French authorities have given up their search
for the man, who went missing near the town of Ajaccio.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) said the Australian embassy in Paris
was advised yesterday that the man had been swept from his boat as he tried to board a
